Episode 9 of the Death by Discography podcast.
A varied week (aren’t they all?) for our intrepid hosts. Things might be up and down, but their enthusiasm for things other than world music and jazz remains undimmed. This time around Ned screams into the void about Peter and the Wolf and breaks all the product placement rules, while Christie bucks the trend on country albums and generally does her best to keep things on track. They agree on a couple of albums this week, but you wouldn’t know it from the things they say to each other.
Albums this week: I Had Too Much To Dream (Last Night) by The Electric Prunes, Don’t Come Home A-Drinkin’ (With Lovin’ On Your Mind) by Loretta Lynn, Call of the Valley by Shivkumar Sharma, White Light/White Heat by The Velvet Underground, and Axis: Bold As Love by The Jimi Hendrix Experience.
